1. Introduction
The Network Section of the Office of Technology Enablement (OTE) at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) is responsible for planning, deploying, operating, and securing the university’s networking and communication infrastructure. The section ensures reliable, scalable, and secure network services to support academic, research, and administrative functions across the university.

- Design and maintain campus-wide network infrastructure
- Ensure uninterrupted internet and internal connectivity
- Implement and enforce network security controls
- Support voice and data communication services
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance

Network Design & Architecture: Access, distribution, and core layer design.
Distribution & Access Layer Management: Switching, VLANs, and endpoint connectivity.
