The Office of Technology Enablement (OTE) focuses on providing integrated technology support that enables effective teaching, learning, research, and efficient university operations. These services ensure reliable connectivity, secure systems, digital learning platforms, communication tools, software applications, and responsive technical support—helping faculty, staff, classrooms and students carry out their academic and administrative activities smoothly and efficiently.

Desktop Support at UMT

  1. Technical Support & Help Desk Services
    Centralized IT support for reporting, tracking, and resolving technical issues across the university.
  2. Helpdesk Ticket Management
    Users can raise tickets via the UMT Helpdesk system for timely issue resolution and proper record management.
  3. System Allocation & Preparation
    Allocation, imaging, and configuration of desktops/laptops for new joiners, replacements, or departmental needs.
  4. Desktop Support Services at UMT
    On-site support for operating systems, applications, printers, and routine troubleshooting.
  5. Hardware Upgrades & Maintenance
    RAM, storage, and component upgrades, along with preventive maintenance of IT equipment.
  6. Staff & Faculty Technology Support
    Dedicated IT assistance for faculty and staff to ensure smooth academic and administrative operations.
  7. Classroom & AV Technology Support
    Support for rostrum PCs, multimedia projectors, sound systems, LED screens, and hybrid teaching tools.
  8. Supervise and provide technical oversight for all events conducted at UMT
