UMT SFAS Director Bags Pakistan Academy of Sciences Gold Medal

The highly prized faculty at University of Management and Technology (UMT) continues to rake in laurels for the university and Pakistan. The latest feat in this regard has come courtesy Dr Nauman Khalid, director of School of Food and Agricultural Sciences (SFAS) at UMT, who has been awarded the Gold Medal in Agricultural Sciences for the year 2021 by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS).

The honor has been conferred on Dr Nauman for his outstanding contributions to the domain of agricultural sciences, for which he was earlier named among the top 2% scientists in the world. The international study was led by researchers from Stanford University with an aim to establish a comprehensive database of the world’s most frequently cited scientists.

Besides his multifaceted research work, the SFAS director has also been appointed as the editor in chief for Nutrition and Health, a SAGE journal and he is an Editorial Board Member for the prestigious American Chemical Society (ACS).

This international recognition and honor for a Pakistani academic is not only a source of pride for the wider UMT community, but also a beacon of inspiration for budding researchers all across Pakistan.

Dr Nauman's achievements are a testament to his hard work, passion and continued pursuit of research and academic excellence.
