UMT Signs MoU with Mizo Studios

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on October 19, 2020, between UMT and Mizo Studios through the Office of Corporate Linkages and Placements (OCLP) and School of Systems and Technology (SST) to strengthen the industry and academia linkages for UMT. Mizo Studio is one of the leading game development houses in the country that takes pride in developing world-class 3D games, mostly ranked amongst the top 100 globally.
The MoU was signed by Khalid Naqi, Director OCLP on behalf of UMT. It was co-signed by Dr. Shaukat Iqbal, Dean SST, and Dr. Yaser Daanial Khan, Chairperson Department of Computer Science, UMT. On behalf of Mizo Studios, it was signed by Muhammad Asid, Data Scientist, and Zoya Tanveer, Sr. HR Executive of Mizo Studios.
The collaboration between UMT and Mizo Studio comprises potentials such as professionals from Mizo Studios to be part of the Corporate Industry Advisory Board, project supervision, seminars, and workshops. They will be offering internships and jobs to UMT participants, endorsing the cooperative education program, and will be on board for career counseling and providing subject specialist training to UMT participants and Alumni through the Office of Corporate Linkages and Placements.
