UMT Electrical Engineering Students Win Awards at IST Youth Carnival 2019, Islamabad

The UMT School of Engineering (SEN), Department of Electrical Engineering, won nine awards at Institute of Space Technology (IST) Youth Carnival 2019. The IST Youth Carnival is one of the most prestigious events held annually at IST Islamabad. Around 10,000 participants from 55+ universities all over the country participated in more than 60 events. The team was led by faculty members Hassan Tariq and M Bilal Anwar. The students belonging to 4th, 6th and 8th semesters comprised the team, These included Zahid Mehmood, Ibrahim Farman, Shaheer Abdullah, M Nouman Rafi, Hammad Imran Mizra, Aon Abbas, Syed Haider Ali, M Asfand Hafeez, and M Othman Sharif. The details of nine trophies/awards are provided below.
1-Digital Logic Master
Winning position was secured by Zahid Mehmood, Syed Haider Ali and Ibrahim Farman (along with cash price of Rs 4000/-). Runner-up position was secured by Muhammad Asfand Hafeez, Hammad Imran Mirza and Aon Abbas.
2-PCB Designing
Winning position was secured by Zahid Mehmood, Syed Haider Ali and Muhammad Ibrahim Farman (along with cash price of Rs 3500/-). Runner-up position was secured by Muhammad Asfand Hafeez, Hammad Imran Mirza and Aon Abbas.
3-Circuit Designing
Runner-up position was secured by Zahid Mehmood, Syed Haider Ali and Shaheer Abdullah
4-Smart Innovation Challenge
Runner-up position was secured by M Nouman Rafi and Zahid Mehmood.
5-Sustainable Development Goals
Runner-up position was secured by M Nouman Rafi and Aon Abbas.
6-Environmental Solution
Runner-up position was secured by M Nouman Rafi and M Othman Sharif.
7-IYC On-Spot Selfie
Winning position was secured by Zahid Mehmood and Syed Haider Ali (along with cash price of Rs 2000/-)
