PCATP Grants 2-Year Accreditation to BS City and Regional Planning Program

The Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP) has granted 2-year accreditation to BS City and Regional Planning (BS-CRP) program which is being offered by the School of Architecture and Planning at UMT. The 4-year undergraduate professional degree program was launched in Fall Semester 2014. Its zero visit by the PCATP was successfully conducted and NOC was timely granted. The interim visit was also timely conducted and finally the accreditation visit was also successfully conducted where all requirements were appropriately met.
The dream of the Late Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, who always emphasized accreditation by the relevant bodies, has been realized. The SAP team is indebted to the encouragement and guidance provided by him while efforts were underway for the same. His visionary leadership will always serve as the guiding beacon for all future endeavors at UMT.
The SAP team also acknowledges the support provided by Dr Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, President, ILM Trust, and Abid H K Shirwani, DG UMT. The hard work and commitment of Dr Fariha Tariq, Chairperson, Department of City and Regional Planning, faculty and students also deserves commendation.
