Addressing the attendees of the UMT convocation, he expressed his gratitude to students and their families for their dignified participation and congratulated them on the successful completion of their degrees.

He said that this day marks the successful completion of an important era in the lives of our graduates. This is the day our graduates must pledge to become model professionals and exemplary human beings. They must gain respect through their quest of learning, thrive through excellent skill sets and impress their employers through outstanding performance. They should aspire to work in the best interest of their employers and the public at large and must display tolerance in their professional as well as personal interactions.

Rector UMT talked about the different milestones achieved by UMT over the period of time and appreciated the hard work and dedication of the Management and faculty in helping UMT achieve the stature of a leading higher education institute of the country. Talking about the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, the rector said that we were fearful of the fate of our final year students, as they were on the verge of repeating their semesters. Fortunately, UMT is administered by a team of competent and dedicated professionals who played a vital role in the dissemination of knowledge without interruption during this global pandemic. We possess a top-notch learning management system and hence it was easy to shift from face to face teaching pedagogies to online practices promptly.

He added that we hope our graduating students will be a source of pride for UMT and will achieve countless laurels, both as professionals and human beings.
