OER Team Conducts Corporate Interview of Dr Umar Saif, Chairman PITB

The Office of External Relations (OER) team along with Rana Iftikhar Ahmad, Director External Relations, steered a Corporate Interview of Dr Umar Saif, Chairman PITB, Punjab Information Technology Board, at Arfa Software Technology Park Lahore.
During the meeting, Rana Iftikhar Ahmad and Dr Umar Saif discussed the role of education and its importance towards the economy’s development. They also discussed the areas of interest for the collaboration and cooperation between PITB and UMT.
Lastly, Director External Relations urged strong participation of Dr Umar Saif as a Session Speaker or Chair panelists to the upcoming IBCE 2018 organized by UMT upon which Dr Umar showed the great interest.
Dr Umar Saif has extensive experience in academia, management, consulting and entrepreneurship in the IT sector. Dr Saif received his academic training from LUMS, Cambridge and MIT. He did his BSc (Hons) from LUMS (1998), PhD from University of Cambridge (2001) and Post-Doctorate from MIT (2002). Dr Saif has received Executive Education from the Harvard Kennedy School on Global Leadership and Public Policy in 2013. Dr Saif has received numerous awards for his work. He was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (SI), one of the highest civil awards by the Government of Pakistan.
