Media Symposium on Quaid e Azam: A Man with a Cause

“I do not take the right decision. I take a decision and make it right.” Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a visionary leader who believed in hard work and consistency. To honor his vision and leadership, School of Media and Communication Studies, UMT organized a Media Symposium on the topic “Quaid e Azam; The Quest of Visionary Leader Continues.” The core discussion of the event was about the vision of Pakistan that Jinnah foresaw. He wanted to ensure a safe harbor for all humans including the minorities. This is the kind of idealistic, visionary leader a nation seeks even today.
The event was presided over by Ibrahim Murad, President UMT. Dr Murad Raas, Provincial Minister of Education, Punjab graced the event as Chief Guest. High profile journalists Suhail Warraich, Mujeeb ur Rehman Shami, Atta ur Rehman, Salman Ghani, Salman Abid and Hafiz Shafique ur Rehman were the esteemed guest speakers of the event and delivered an insightful talk.. Dr Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT was also kind enough to be a part of the event. The faculty members of various departments keenly took part in it as well. Students of SMCS eagerly participated in the Q & A session where their ambiguities or ideas were expressed and reflected upon.
The session was successfully concluded by Dr Mughees who extended his heartfelt gratitude to the guest speakers for their participation. President UMT commended Dean SMCS for holding such a thought provoking and astute event for the students. All in all it was a job well done on the part of SMCS family.
