Dr Sammia Shahid Conducts Workshop on Global Chemist Code of Ethics at QAU, Islamabad

Dr Sammia Shahid, Dean Research, UMT, along with Dr M Raza Shah, Professor; HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, Karachi, and Dr Massimo F Bertino, Professor, Virginia Commonwealth University, conducted 3^rd National Workshop on ‘Global Chemist Code of Ethics’ at the Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, on July 2, 2018.

A total of 170 registered participants from various universities attended the workshop. Pakistan's national hero and renowned scientist Dr Abdul Qadir Khan graced the occasion as the chief guest. This workshop created awareness among the chemist community about the GCCE. It was agreed that ethics education should be an integral part of chemistry education so that practitioners can understanding their duties, responsibilities and rights.
