Dr Nauman Khalid Appointed as Technical Advisor, OxSyBio, UK

Dr Nauman Khalid, Director, School of Food and Agricultural Sciences (SFAS), has been appointed as Technical Advisor at OxSyBio Ltd., a spin-out company from the University of Oxford. This company utilises a variety of liquid handling technologies for developing living and artificial tissues for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Dr Nauman will give research inputs to Dr David Lunn, Research Director and Head of Synthetic Biology at OxSyBio and University of Oxford.
UMT will get full credits for the technology development by Dr Nauman. Developing artificial proteins and membranes is a challenging task and generation of same size bilayers is extremely important. The Oxford University team will use Dr Nauman’s developed straight through microchannel emulsification tool for generating bilayers. This is a great opportunity for faculty members who want to pursue PhD in in this field in collaboration with Oxford University.
