Achievement of UMT Men and Women Boxing Teams

The Sports Department at the University of Management and Technology successfully organized the "24th HEC Intervarsity Boxing (Men) Competition” on November 13-16, 2022. 21 universities across the country with more than 250 students participated in the sports extravaganza and the UMT boxing men’s team created history by winning 3 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals and secured the overall runner-up trophy.
The following UMT players and officials of UMT were part of the winning team:
- Muhammad Munir (gold medal in 51 kg category)
- Ashraf Khan (gold medal in 54 kg category)
- Muhammad Zeeshan Umer (gold medal in 60 kg category)
- Muhammad Husnain (silver medal in 57 kg category)
- Sajjad Ali (silver medal in 63.5 kg category)
- Zaid Khan (bronze medal in 67 kg category)
- Waqas Ahmed (bronze medal in 80 kg category)
- Salman Fazal (bronze medal in 92 kg category)
- Sajjad Ali (6th position in 48 kg category)
- Hafiz Rana Hammad (6th position in 75 kg category)
- Zeeshan Butt (coach)
- Ali Raza (manager)
UMT Sports Department also participated for the first time in the "HEC All Pakistan Boxing (Women) Championship" organized by Lahore Women College University, Lahore (LCWU) from November 16-19, 2022, won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal and secured 5th position overall. More than 80 female boxers across the country participated and represented their universities.

- Shehzadi Sakhi (gold medal in 54 kg category)
- Laiba Riaz (bronze medal in 52 kg category)
- Shanza (quarter-finalist in 48 kg category)
- Maham Ayaz (quarter-finalist in 57 kg category)
- Kashana Sher Shanza (quarter-finalist in 60 kg category)
