A Tribute to Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad

A special gathering for female faculty, staff and students was organized at UMT in memory of the Late Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, who passed away recently. The occasion was graced by the presence of the mother and sisters of Dr Hasan. Mariam Murad, the daughter of Dr Hasan, was also present on the occasion. The program was hosted by Shaheen Firdous, UMT female Counsellor and Happiness Coach. Dr Naveda Kitchlew, Dr Rukhsana Kalim, Dr Samia Shahid, Dr Saima Gulzar and many other staff members and students shared their experiences and recalled how he had guided them whenever they sought his support.
Earlier, the program started with recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran. Dr Hasan’s sisters also shared their memories of their late brother. Mariam Murad shared her golden memories and spoke of the valuable advices and love he had bestowed upon her as a father. She also conveyed the message of her mother Dr Naushaba Hasan, to the UMT family. She thanked UMT administration for organizing the program to pay tribute to her father.
Dr Hasan’s mother also shared her knowledgeable and valuable thoughts. Shaheen Firdous offered dua for the departed soul, the stability of the Ummah and UMT‘s prosperity.
