Former Governor Sardar Muhammad Latif Khosa Participates as a Special Guest in a Seminar

School of Law and Policy organized a seminar on the issues faced by the criminal justice system in which Former Governor Sardar Muhammad Latif Khosa participated as a special guest.

Dean School of Law and Policy Dr. Kashif Imran Zaidi, faculty, staff and students participated in the seminar.

Dean School of Law and Policy Dr. Kashif Zaidi in his opening remarks welcomed Sardar Muhammad Latif Khosa to UMT and gave a briefing about the educational activities held at UMT and explained how UMT School of Law and Policy is providing quality education to its students.

Former Governor Punjab Sardar Muhammad Latif Khosa while addressing the ceremony said that our justice system has become diseased that's why many of our cases are being carried till the third generation. He advised the students to not be arrogant by considering themselves fully competent and worthy, but should go out of their way to love the country and its people and play a key role for their welfare. He further said that Allah holds the authorityof life, death, honor, humiliation and sustenance, so avoid flattery and shortcuts and perform your duties honestly and this is how our justice system will be fixed by itself.

Mr. Latif Khosasaid that the justice system of our country is not going in the right direction, so its reform is the need of the hour. There should be many important amendments in our judicial system because we are still following the law of 1872 and 1908 as a result of which our judicial system is not effectual and people are not getting justice.Sardar Latif Khosa said that we have not trained our police in the way that we should have done, so rectification of the judicial and police system is the most important requirement for now.

At the end of the ceremony, Dean Dr. Kashif also presented an honorary souvenir to Sardar Muhammad Latif Khosa.
