UMT is one of Pakistan’s leading premier non-profit higher education institutes and is recognized as a W4 (A) category university by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Since the past 27 years, UMT has been offering numerous quality driven programs for the progress and prosperity of the nation. At present, UMT has 600+ highly qualified faculty members including 125+ PhDs. Our Quality Enhancement Cell was awarded 92.5% by HEC and consistently receives the topmost ranking. We have a growing family of 10,000+ participants and 16,000+ alumni who are successfully working all across the world. To create a better future for all, ILM Fund has granted Rs 1.5 Billion in scholarships in the past few years.
Our programs are designed with and encompass the latest knowledge, educational pedagogies and world-class expertise. This is to assure that all our programs are approved from the concerned authorities/regulatory bodies and exceed benchmarks and international standards.
The programs mentioned in the recent news have also been offered after due process. Following is the status of the accreditation/approval of the mentioned programs being offered under their respective Schools/Institutes:
School of Systems and Technology (SST)
The programs offered at SST incorporate technological excellence and are under the Faculty of IT duly approved and accredited by the Punjab Government in the charter, Board of Governors (BoG) and the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) since the body’s inception.
School of Architecture and Planning (SAP)
The programs offered at SAP are accredited by the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP). SAP has state-of-the-art studios, infrastructure and EU and US qualified faculty to ensure excellence.
Institute of Aviation Studies (IAS)
The aviation programs offered at IAS are approved and in association with the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), the prestigious European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and AERO Bildung Germany. The programs are also facilitated by a purpose-built facility at Walton Aerodrome and students enjoy training on the most advanced flight simulators in the region. All aviation programs fall under the Faculty of Management.
Institute of Islamic Banking (IIB)
The IIB programs are being offered under the Faculty of Management under the Dr Hasan Murad School of Management that is approved in the charter, BoG and Academic Council. IIB also has the privilege of publishing a journal and hosts an annual international conference.
School of Food and Agricultural Sciences (SFAS)
The School of Food and Agricultural Sciences (SFAS) programs are being offered under the Faculty of Science as approved from all relevant bodies and accreditation is in process. The SFAS programs are being taught by faculty who are leading researchers in their field.
School of Health Sciences (SHS)
The School of Health Sciences (SHS) is offering programs according to HEC prescribed curriculum and is being taught in state-of-the-art purpose-built labs. The School is affiliated with a 300-bed teaching hospital and a 200-bed hospital will be added soon.
