The Message of the Quran is Aligned with the Future of Man: Dr Ahmad Murad

Tuesday, December 18 2018

Addressing the 16th UMT Convocation, Dr Ahmad Murad, Chairman, ILM Trust, said that it is an extraordinary honor for me to stand here and witness the beautiful faces of the graduates who are assembled here today. However, the singular reason for this is the passing away of Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad. Dr Murad said that there are two kinds of people in the world; those who lead ordinary lives and pass into oblivion as their lives comes to an end, remembered only by their family and friends. Then there are those who lead extraordinary lives and leave their mark on the world. Dr Hasan belonged to the latter group; always striving for excellence, he succeeded because of his persistence and perseverance. He proved that to become extraordinary is not limited to those few who are born some traits but anyone who treats life the right way can achieve greatness.

Reflecting on the transitory nature of life, Dr Murad said that life is nothing but a process which comes to an end. The passing nature of life has prompted men to ask what is the meaning of life. All of us are curious about the future. All our endeavors whether they are related to science, mathematics, etc., are designed to secure a better future. The message of the Quran is aligned with the future of man, and on a world beyond this world. Summarizing his message to the graduating students, Dr Ahmad Murad reminded everyone of something that Dr Hasan had said to graduates of a previous convocation: the real world awaits you, those who continuously learn achieve their true potential.
