National Conference on Debates in Contemporary Gender Issues held at UMT

A National Conference on Debates in Contemporary Gender Issues was organized by the UMT Department of Gender Studies, School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSS&H) at the University Campus today. Dr Yasmin Rashid, Provincial Minister, Punjab (Primary and Secondary Healthcare), was the chief guest on the occasion. Fouzia Vaqar, Chairperson, Punjab Commission on the Status of Women, was the keynote speaker. Dr Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT, also graced the occasion with his presence. The vote of thanks was given by Dr Rukhsana Kausar, Dean, School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSS&H).

Earlier, Dr Ambreen Salahuddin, Acting Chairperson, Department of Gender Studies, gave the welcome note. The conference was attended by a large number of educationists, faculty members and students.
