22nd Research Ethics and Support Committee (RESC) to Evaluate Annual Rector’s Award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

ORIC-UMT organized the 22nd Research Ethics and Support Committee (RESC) meeting on 7 October 2026 to evaluate student projects for the Rector’s Award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, to be presented at the 29th UMT Convocation.
This evaluation is conducted annually to recognise outstanding student innovation and entrepreneurial potential.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ejaz Ullah Cheema, Vice Rector (Academics), with participation from external industry evaluators:
• Mr. Hamid Malik, Country Manager, Indus-Pak Corporation
• Mr. Ubaid Ahmad, Managing Director, FireForce
• Mr. Ejaz Shahid, Director Quality Operations, Vega Pharmaceuticals
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks, with industry evaluators commending the students and supervisors for their innovative work.
