Corporate Advisory Council

The Corporate Advisory Council is responsible for providing strategic advice, recommendations and assistance to strengthen industry-academia Linkages as well as promoting industrial outreach that will contribute to the achievements of the objectives of ORIC. At present, the Corporate Advisory Council comprises ten (12) members.

Objectives of the Committee

• To advise ORIC UMT for policy and planning to promote applied research 
• To review ORIC UMT progress on applied research and industry linkages and advise for revision and improvement in strategies and functions 
• Foster collaboration between industry and university in research and development including opportunities for joint research projects and initiatives, student/faculty internship and work experience programs, career and employment opportunities, 
• To assist and provide industrial support to the startups at Futurizm (Business Incubation Center) for piloting of ideas and production
• To provide support the university education programs, in order to ensure that graduates meet the needs of industry and new trends and transformational changes that are taking place in the industry.
