It was an honor to participate in the 3rd National Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, excellently organized by Grand Asian University, Sialkot held from 17-18 September, 2025. The workshop convened leaders, scholars, and practitioners from higher education institutions across Pakistan to deliberate on sustainability, green initiatives, and the critical role of universities in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The keynote speeches and panel discussions provided a meaningful platform for sharing evidence-based insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to strengthening institutional sustainability. Such academic forums not only broaden intellectual horizons but also promote collaborative efforts towards developing environmentally responsible and globally competitive universities.

Dr. Vishnu Juwono, Chairperson of UI GreenMetric (Indonesia), comprehensively outlined the salient features of the UI GreenMetric ranking methodology, enabling participants to gain a deeper understanding of the evaluation framework. I was privileged to contribute as one of the panelists, engaging in thoughtful discourse on advancing sustainability practices in higher education.

The honorable Governor of Punjab graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding further prestige to the event. I extend my appreciation to Mr. Muhammad Islam, Chairman BoG, Dr. Mujahid Kamran, Vice Chancellor, and Mr. Hamza Jan, Director QEC, for commitment in making this event a resounding success.
