Thursday, February 12 2026
The Director, Accreditation and Academic Quality Improvement Cell (AAQIC), Asif Saeed Haider, conducted a comprehensive training workshop for the faculty of UMT Sialkot Campus on 12 February 2026. The session focused on the salient features of the revised quality framework introduced by the Higher Education Commission, particularly the PSG-2023 Standards and the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) requirements.
The workshop aimed to strengthen faculty understanding of the evolving quality assurance landscape and to align academic practices with national regulatory expectations. During the session, the Director AAQIC provided an in-depth overview of PREE standards, outcome based education in the curriculum design based on PEOs PLOS, CLOs and National Qualification Framework (NQF).
Special attention was given to the preparation of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) for 2025-2026. The faculty were guided on integrating PREE Standards, essentially the HEC's expectations, followed by Expectation outcome Indicators (EOI), and Indicative Evidence.
The interactive workshop also addressed practical challenges faced by faculty in implementing PSG-2023 and provided clarity on timelines. Faculty members actively participated in discussions and appreciated usefulness of this workshop.
