AAQIC Organizes Cohort-1 Training Workshop on Beyond Compliance Driving Program Excellence through Self-Assessment
Wednesday, October 28 2026
The Accreditations and Academic Quality Improvement Cell (AAQIC) successfully organized the Cohort-1 Training Workshop on “Beyond Compliance: Driving Program Excellence through Self-Assessment” on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The specialized workshop focused on the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) framework and the preparation of Program Self-Assessment Reports (SARs). The session was facilitated by Mr. Asif Saeed Haider, Director AAQIC.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the capacity of faculty members and Program Teams (PTs) to understand and effectively implement the PREE framework, interpret its assessment standards, and prepare comprehensive, evidence-based SARs. Participants were guided on the key requirements of program self-assessment, documentation of supporting evidence, identification of performance gaps, and formulation of actionable improvement plans in alignment with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) guidelines.
Emphasizing a shift from a compliance-oriented approach to a culture of continuous improvement, the workshop highlighted the importance of critical self-reflection, evidence-informed decision-making, and systematic quality enhancement in academic programs. The initiative reflects AAQIC’s continued commitment to fostering a culture of quality ownership, strengthening internal quality assurance practices, and promoting academic excellence across the University.
Through this capacity-building initiative, AAQIC seeks to empower Program Teams to use self-assessment not merely as a regulatory requirement but as a strategic instrument for improving academic effectiveness, enhancing student learning outcomes, and driving sustained program excellence.
