• Participant’s Name Correction

Participants will request online through Student Portal. (online.umt.edu.pk). Copy of Matriculation Certificate is required.

• Participant’s Father’s Name Correction

Participants will request online through Student Portal. (online.umt.edu.pk). Copy of Matriculation Certificate is required.

• Date of Birth Correction

Participants will request online through Student Portal. (online.umt.edu.pk). Copy of Matriculation Certificate is required.

• Address Correction

Participants will request online through Student Portal (online.umt.edu.pk). Copy of Father’s CNIC required. Any current utility bill with the same address is required.

• Contact Number Correction

Participants will request online through Student Portal (online.umt.edu.pk). Required to mention the old and new contact details clearly and correctly.

• Registrar Office deals with course registration for the upcoming semester as per the academic calendar. Visit the link for the academic calendar: https://www.umt.edu.pk/org/home.aspx
• Once the registration request is submitted by the participant, it is shown/listed on his/her portal so that the participant may check the status of the request.
• In case the participant faces an issue regarding course offering/section capacity/clash, he/she is required to coordinate with the Batch Advisor or Coordinator of the Department.

If course code(s)/credit hours do not match the respective curriculum of the program.

• Applications for fee installment/extension must be submitted at least 5 working days before the due date of the quarter.
• For any decision, the validity of the decision is for 3 working days from the date of the decision. No claim shall be entertained after the validity period expires.
• Decision along with a particular date given is valid only till the mentioned date.
• If a participant fails to pay fee within the deadline, Contribution for ILM Fund Scholarship of Rs.3,000/- + Rs.100/- per day will be applicable after the due date.
• If a participant fails to pay as per the decision taken by the competent authority, Contribution for ILM Fund will be charged from the date the first default occurred.
• In case a participant applies for revision of the decision, fine will be charged from the date the first default occurred.
• In case a participant gets a decision from one competent authority and gives application again to another competent authority without mentioning the previous decision and authority, then both decisions will stand cancelled and action will be taken against the participant as per the policies of UMT.

How to Apply:

Participants will request online through Student Portal. (online.umt.edu.pk)

• Only one Independent Study is allowed in a degree program.
• No semester is remaining.
• Only one course is left which has been graded as 'F' or it is the participant's 12th semester in case of non-PEC undergraduate programs and 14th in case of PEC undergraduate programs.
• If course is being offered in a semester, the participant shall not be eligible to apply for an Independent Study.
• Maximum B+ grade shall be awarded.

• IS Fee of Rs. 20,000/- is charged.

• SID Card misplaced, broken, misprinted or expired.
• In case the SID Card is misprinted or fades, duplicate card fee will be charged. All such participants shall return the original SID card

• Duplicate SID Card Fee of Rs. 1,000/- will be charged.

• A participant can submit the online course withdrawal request as per the date mentioned in the relevant academic calendar. Visit the link for the academic calendar: https://www.umt.edu.pk/org/home.aspx
• Participant will be awarded ‘W’ in that particular course(s) in the transcript.
• Grade ‘W’ has no effect on the GPA/CGPA
• The course awarded “W” will be considered for as a Repeat course and charged as per policy.

• Participants will request online through Student Portal (online.umt.edu.pk).

• Participant should be currently registered in a particular semester or degree should be completed.
• Normal Letter can be received from PRS Helpdesk after two working days, within office hours.
• Urgent Letter can be received from PRS Helpdesk after 3 working hours, within office hours.
• Request will not be entertained until all the outstanding dues are cleared.
• Processed letters will be discarded if the participant does not receive them within one month.

• Alumni can apply manually by submitting the documents at PRS Help Desk or email ([email protected])
• Normal letter Fee of Rs. 1,000/- will be charged.
• Urgent letter Fee of Rs. 1,500/- will be charged.

• Participant may change his/her program with the approval of Dean/Director of both the parent and destination School/Institute. Program change shall only be allowed for participants who meet the admission criteria of the desired program.
• All policies and fee structure will be applicable as per new program schedule and any previous paid fee will be adjusted in the fee of the new program as per the policy.
• Program change will not be allowed in case the participant is on ‘Last Probation.
• Program change request can be entertained only once. However, program change for the second time shall require an approval from a competent authority followed by a CGPA requirement of 3.00 or above.

• Participants will request online through Student Portal (online.umt.edu.pk).
• 1st time Program Change Fee of Rs. 25,000/- will be charged.
• 2nd time Program Change Fee of Rs. 50,000/- will be charged.

•Re-admission, without going through the admission process, is granted to bachelor, master, MS/MPhil program participants.

• The participant will have to pay the readmission/new ID issuance fee of Rs. 25,000/- and will respond to the new package.

• Dismissal based on expiration of maximum degree duration from the date of first registration shall also render such participants inadmissible for re-admission.

• Freezing of first two semesters is not allowed (for four/five-year degree program).
• Freezing of first semester is not allowed (for two years program).
• Semester Freeze can be availed for one semester in a two-year degree program.
• Semester Freeze can be for a maximum period of one year (two semesters in a four/five-year degree program).
• Participant may apply for Semester Freeze for medical or other plausible reason.
• During the “Freeze Period” the applicant shall lose his/her participant status at UMT and shall not be entitled to avail university facilities.
• Freezing the semester(s) is a matter of choice and such participant shall not qualify for any relaxation in semester course load or maximum time specified for completion of the degree.
• Participant SID Card shall be deactivated once the request is approved.
• Leaving more than two semesters without an official approval will lead to suspension of admission.
• A participant, during the Semester Freeze period will not be liable to pay quarter fee.
• Semester will only be frozen after clearing the outstanding quarter fee and repeat course fee (if any).
• Any application submitted after the commencement of midterm examination shall not be accepted.
• On resuming studies, the SID card will be activated and all university facilities will resume.

• Semester Freeze Fee of Rs. 10,000/- will be charged.

• Any scholarship/fee waiver availed by the participant shall be cancelled.
• Tuition fee of the earned/registered credit hours will be charged as standard fee package of the respective degree program.
• Leaving university will only be allowed after receiving clearance for all outstanding dues (credit hour wise).
