The Rector warmly welcomed the new intake of Spring 2026 and congratulated them on becoming a part of the UMT family.
He highlighted the university’s key institutional strengths, including the introduction of HS Camps, the Sialkot sub-campus, and a highly qualified faculty of over 300 PhDs. He further stated that UMT offers a wide range of academic programs, emphasizing its strong commitment to quality education. The Rector also mentioned the university’s modern facilities, continuous infrastructure upgrades, and generous scholarship opportunities. He emphasized that the strong research contributions of faculty members and the MPhil, PhD scholars have contributed in further elevating the university’s stature and distinguish it among other higher education institutions in a relatively short span of time.
The Rector encouraged students to maintain punctuality in attending classes, ensure timely course registration, and actively participate in clubs, societies, and interdisciplinary learning through minors to enhance their learning. He further highlighted UMT’s future initiatives, including the construction of a Technology Park, aimed at creating greater opportunities for students by fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
The Rector also emphasized the role of the Office of Participant Success and peer tutoring in ensuring holistic student success at UMT. He concluded by stating that the UMT brand belongs to all of us, and it is our collective responsibility to uphold and elevate it to new heights.
