Student Advising

Each UMT student is assigned an academic advisor whose role is to:

  • Provide information and guidance in planning and completing an academic program
  • Assist in the registration process
  • Act as a mentor to the student
  • Provide career planning
  • Inform student of departmental expectations
  • Monitor the academic progress of the student
  • Plan for the appropriate closure experience (internship, professional contribution, thesis, etc.)
