Disciplinary action

Violation of USH rules may result in warnings, applicable fines, recovery of costs and/or disciplinary action in accordance with the prevailing USH rules and University policies.

For the complete and legally/administratively applicable requirements, residents should refer to the USH Rules & Standard Operating Procedures.

Maintenance & Residential Support

USH provides routine maintenance and residential support services to help maintain functional and safe accommodation.

Residents should report maintenance concerns through the designated USH reporting channel as soon as a fault is identified.

Maintenance support may include:

  • Electrical work
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • General residential repairs

Residents are expected to take reasonable care of University property. Damage resulting from misuse, negligence or unauthorised alterations may be dealt with in accordance with applicable University policy.

 

Accessibility & Additional Support

Students who have accessibility requirements, medical considerations or other accommodation-related needs are encouraged to contact USH before finalising their accommodation.

The University can provide guidance regarding available accommodation and support arrangements, subject to the suitability and availability of facilities.

 

Leaving the Hostel

Students leaving USH must complete the prescribed hostel leaving and clearance procedure.

The process may include:

  • Submission of the required clearance form
  • Settlement of outstanding dues
  • Room inspection
  • Return of University/hostel property, where applicable
  • Completion of the prescribed clearance process

Students should contact the relevant USH office in advance to understand the current leaving procedure and applicable requirements.
