UMT and City News Network signs MoU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Management and Technology UMT and City News Network (CNN). CNN is one of the biggest media groups, having 1 International and 4 national news channels in Pakistan.
President UMT, Ibrahim Hasan Murad highlighted the importance of industry-academia linkages and assured maximum support to industry through several possible collaborations. He also said that this is important to create an economy of international worth and recognition.
On this occasion, The Chief Guest Mr. Gohar Ejaz, CEO, Lake City Holdings, Patron in Chief- All Pakistan textile mills association announced 100 scholarships to deserving students of UMT School of Media and Communication Studies.
Mr. Salim Bukhari, on behalf of Mr. Mohsin Naqvi, CEO, City News Network appreciated UMT’s initiative of connecting with industry and assured maximum support from the industry perspective.
With this collaboration, UMT media students will find an opportunity to get hands-on experience from industry perspective by collaborating with one of the biggest media groups.
