DG PR Pakistan Air Force visits UMT

President UMT, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, warmly welcomed Air Commodore Syed Ahmer Raza TI (M), DGPR (AF) Pakistan Air Force.
Air Commodore Syed Ahmer Raza TI (M) DGPR Pakistan Air Force along with Air Commodore (R) Syed Muhammad Ali SI (M), Advisor to VCAS on Media Affairs, Wing Commander Shazia Virk PRO Lahore and Flight Lt Umar Iftikhar AD paid a visit to University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore.
President UMT, Ibrahim Hassan Murad, warmly welcomed the esteemed guests. UMT School of Media and Communication and Institute of Aviation Studies gave a detailed presentation on various academic activities of the University.
Addressing UMT students and the faculty, Air Commodore Syed Ahmer Raza shed light on the accomplishments of Pakistan Air Force and its training activities. He told students how PAF eagles are protecting our mother land against external forces. He added that Pakistan is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region and we must thank the Almighty for His innumerable blessings. Also, it is our duty to protect this land and take advantage of our geostrategic position in the region, Air Commodore said.
DGPR PAF also extended his condolences over the sad demise of UMT's Founder, Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad (Shaheed). Dr. Murad was a valuable asset to the nation and his sudden demise is a great national loss, he added.
President UMT, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, expressed his gratitude towards Air Commodore Syed Ahmer Raza for taking the time out from his busy schedule. He said that UMT is transforming learners into leaders by providing quality and research based education. He asserted that UMT’s intent is to render its services for Pakistan Armed Forces and play an integral role in building bridges between academia and the Armed Forces.
Dr. Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT, Lt. Gen (retd) Javed Hassan, Chief Advisor to President UMT, Abid HK Shirwani, DG UMT, Dr. Mujahid Kamran and other officials were also present on the occasion.
At the end, Air Commodore Syed Ahmer Raza presented gifts to UMT officials. President UMT, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, also presented a souvenir to Air Commodore Syed Ahmer Raza.
