Youm-e-Tashakkur Observed at UMT to Honour Armed Forces

On Friday, May 16, 2025, the University of Management and Technology (UMT) observed Youm-e-Tashakkur to express gratitude for the success of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsous and to honour the valor and sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
The ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and was attended by a large gathering, including the Rector, Deans, Provost, Director General, Chairpersons and senior officials from University Management.
In his address, the Rector thanked Allah Almighty for granting success to the nation in defeating the malicious intentions of the enemy. He expressed immense pride in the armed forces, especially in the brave martyrs who laid down their lives for the country’s defense. He emphasized the need for national unity, urging the entire nation to stand as one to counter any future threats.
The ceremony began with a flag hoisting by the Rector, followed by a special dua for the country’s peace and prosperity. The official ISPR song was also played, adding to the patriotic spirit of the occasion.
The event served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our forces and the collective strength of a united Pakistan.
