Rector meets Office of Treasurer (OTR)

Office of Treasurer (OTR) had an introductory session with Dr Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT on 19th July 2017 at 12:30 pm in RS executive boardroom.
Mr Sajid Nazir, Treasurer formally introduced his team members with the Rector and commenced with detailed presentation on core functions of the department. The presentation covered vision/mission, core values, structure and major assignments of OTR assigned to different officials at different levels. Treasurer also mentioned about core functions of OTR which includes, Annual budgeting, Estimates inflows, Advances and adjustments, financial strategy, auditing, taxation and participants’ fee collection.
Furthermore, introduction of new online, ATM and mobile application based methods to help students deposit their fee were also briefed to the Rector. The Treasurer also shared expense side such as HR cost and emphasized to adopt certain measures to get over increasing cost.
While giving his satisfactory comments, the Rector also instructed Treasurer to include email and SMS alerts for students once the fee is credited to UMT’s account.
