Academic Calendar
There are fifteen weeks of teaching and two weeks of examination. Semester system is
in conformity with the Higher Education Commission.
Registration
Registration for the next/following semester is done in the middle of the current
semester to facilitate academic planning which includes course offerings, arranging the
faculty members required to teach the courses.
Add/Drop
After the start of the classes, two weeks are given to add/drop any course(s). This is to facilitate the student to drop courses in which he/she is not able to co-up and add
courses in lieu of the dropped ones; the students are encouraged to consult the batch
advisors to add/drop the courses.
Declaration of Final Roster
Final roster is declared at the end of the third week from the start of the classes. After
this students cannot change the course and/or class sections.
Mid-Term Examination
Mid-Term examination is taken in the 8th and 9th week of the semester.
Withdrawal
If the student, for any plausible reason wishes to quit the course(s) he may do it bywithdrawing the course. However, he shall have to pay the fee for the withdrawn
course(s).
Declaration of Sessional Marks
Before the end of the semester, the sessional marks including the mid-term ,presentation, reports, quizzes etc have to finalized and declared before the end of the
semester.
Final Examination
Two weeks are kept for the Final Examination.
Semester break and declaration of Final Examination Result
Then there is a semester break of two weeks during which the results are compiled by
the faculty and submitted to Controller of Examination. CoE then declares the results.
