Network Management

Job Title:Manager Networks

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Administers systems and servers related to LAN and WAN (e.g. email systems, accounts, workstation ID, IP assignments, classroom computers, security, antivirus, spyware, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of services to authorized users.
  • Designs network infrastructure (physical and virtual) for the purpose of ensuring effective and efficient networking systems.
  • Maintains network operations and software applications (e.g. servers (file, print, application, WEB, database, proxy, etc.), operating systems, server backup, routine maintenance programs, etc.)
  • Manages servers and network resources including network applications for the purpose of delivering services in compliance with established guidelines and/or objectives.
  • Responds to emergency situations as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns.
  • Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources (e.g. staff, administrators, school site personnel, outside vendors and service providers, etc.) for the purpose of providing technical assistance and support.
  • Identifying, installing and maintaining upgrades to the network
  • Planning network infrastructure for new applications and services
  • Training network staff to provide support to end users
  • Advising on Purchasing and maintaining networking equipment and infrastructure

Job Specification:

  • Sound knowledge of the software and hardware used in the network systems and well- acquainted with the advanced technologies
  • Ability to use the available resources wisely and establish efficient network systems
  • Regularly update knowledge about the new and advanced technologies available in the market and use these technologies in the designs
  • Expertise in identifying problems in the existing systems and upgrade them with the new and more efficient ones
  • Relevant certifications on CCNP, CCIE, WCNA etc.

Qualification:

  •   Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science/ IT

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Network Administration
