UMT Sialkot Students Develop Android Application

A unique android application named ‘Smart Event Handler’ developed by UMT Sialkot students was presented at SoftExpo’16 held at PUCIT. The application was developed as the final year project of Software Engineering students. Smart Event Handler offers solution to those who wish to keep their mobile phones on alert, silent and notification mode for specific geographical locations without internet, time, and occasions and for specific contacts. In this application, users create list of reminders and schedule the message which is then sent to selected contacts on different occasions.
The application was selected for presentation at SoftExpo’16 after tough competition from more than 90 universities. Finally, only 30 projects were selected including the android application developed by our students. It is worth noting that SAMAA TV gave coverage to this achievement by UMT students. Danish Arif was the group leader while Mohsin Butt and Saad Ullah were the team members.
