UMT Office of Alumni Invites Female Alumni for Exclusive Meetup

UMT Office of Alumni arranged a unique gathering of Female Alumni - Lahore Chapter on July15, 2017 at UMT Campus. All the attendees were from corporate sector and serving in leading positions. The objective of this meet up was to acknowledge and celebrate the struggle of female alumni and honor their work and contributions given to our society.”
Dr Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT, Abid H K Shirwani, Director General UMT, along with Rana Iftikhar Ahmed, Director External Relations, graced this event. Rubina Shurjeel, Senior Executive, Alumni Relations, welcomed the honorable guests. The event started with recitation of some verses of the Holy Quran followed by national anthem. Rubina Shurjeel delivered the welcome speech and highlighted the objective of this Get Together. Rana Iftikhar Ahmed focused on the purpose of this event by encouraging female alumni and shared overall developments and activities of the Office of Alumni. He welcomed members as they are an integral part of UMT fraternity, presented achievements and future hopes. Each member introduced herself by giving their graduation details and valued UMT’s role in their professional growth.
Lubna Khawar (alumna) from session 2014, Founder & Director for Roots & Wing Autism Center gave an inspirational speech. Another Alumna Nabila Chauhdry, Director Projects at Rising Sun Education & Welfare Society, shared her success story. Abid H K Shirwani appreciated the efforts of OER and congratulated Rana Iftikhar Ahmed for this unique gathering. He said that he is impressed by this show of women empowerment.
Dr Muhammad Aslam appreciated the event and encourage the alumni meet ups. Later, Dr Aslam and Rana Iftikhar Ahmed presented souvenirs to sponsors (Six- B Industries, Newage Concepts @ NOYOLO). A group photograph was taken at the main building to revive old memories. A lavish Hi-Tea was served to the guests and interactive networking session was held on the refreshment tables.
