OCS Launches Innovation Champions Boot Camp and Club (ICBCC)

The Office of Career Services (OCS) at UMT launched Innovation Champions Boot Camp and Club (ICBCC) under the umbrella of Human Capital Development Forum (HCDF) -A Think Tank, in the UMT Greens on October 17, 2017.
The purpose of this event was to orient the participants about the importance of innovation in their careers and to create enabling environment for them to realize the importance of thinking through the platform of ICBCC.
A plaque signing ceremony was conducted where Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, Chairman, ILM Trust, and Dr Muhammad Aslam, Rector UMT, endorsed ICBCC. Dr Aslam appreciated the efforts of OCS in up raise the importance of innovation in UMT’s learning culture.
The event was also dignified by the worthy presence of key Industry players, Aamir Niazi, CEO Descon Oxychem, Nauman Majeed, CEO Style Textile, Samita Khawar, Director, Pakistan Frost and Sullivan, and Chaudary Ejaz Ahmed, MD, Haroon and Hussain Marketing Associates, to make the ceremony successful.
The gist of innovation was delivered to the participants through a thought provoking skit on the theme of ‘Flintstone to Jetsons/Innovation is everyone’s responsibility’ in collaboration with the UMT students from Dramatics Club.
The ceremony closed with the vote of thanks by Khalid Naqi, Chief Project Lead and Advisor, Human Capital Development Forum (HCDF)-A Think Tank, and Director OCS. He briefed the stakeholders about the rationale behind ICBCC and made the participants aware about the importance of innovation in their careers.
