UMT aspires to become a learning den by fostering values and endorsing holistic development of youngsters. We have always initiated and supported concrete measures that can meet the ever-changing pedagogical needs of our learners. We understand that in these challenging times when the world is united against their fight with the corona pandemic, online learning and facilitation of broadband services for e-learners is vital to reap the benefits of online learning.

Ibrahim Hasan Murad, President ILM Trust and UMT initiated a national campaign titled #freeinternetforstudents on March 25, 2020. Through this campaign, he urged the Prime Minister of Pakistan to provide free internet services to students to avoid any hindrance in their academic activities, stating that internet is a basic necessity of life across the globe. He disseminated this message through electronic, print and social media platforms and succeeded in creating a new wave among students, leading educationists and the local authorities to support a futuristic digital Pakistan.

UMT would like to congratulate our President for his untiring efforts, as the government has announced “Taleemi bundle internet package” for students, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and telecommunication companies. This package will provide cheap internet services to students from 8 am till 2 pm and students will register for the package through their respective universities.

This initiative by the President ILM Trust and UMT will serve as a beacon of light for other educationists and activists in the country, as together we can promote the cause of education for all which is only possible by providing the means and resources that can expedite learning, along with meeting the pedagogical needs of the modern-day scholar.
