Generally, organizations brand human resource as an asset. The Master of Human Resource Management is designed for professionals who are seeking a career in HRM by achieving a climax of skills required to optimally maneuver human resource to the organizational advantage. The major thrust of this program is to develop a breed of HR professionals who are academically strong, judicious in their planning to contrive human resource for the best output while possessing the capacity to work in a challenging environment and well versed in the art of conflict resolution in a logical manner.

The program is a mélange of practical and theoretical concepts covering the philosophy, values, policies, and practices of HRM in a global context. However, the practical concepts of modern day working in public and private sector as well as the understanding of contemporary issues in HRM like workforce diversity, employee management relations, recruitment, selection, training and career development, compensation, organizational development, change and the impact of change on organizations and effective human resource planning, execution and analysis are covered in the program. The idea is to steer professionals to devote themselves for superior learning offered by the congenial environment at SPA to become thorough professionals, capable of optimally utilizing the human resource and thereby deliver maximum value to their organizations.

Program Objectives

The Master of Human Resource Management is a comprehensive program devised to enable the graduates to:

  • Deal with the workforce in different organizations and contexts;
  • Develop proactive approach as managers to set and get time bound objectives;
  • Strategically handle affairs related to HR management at the workplace;

Eligibility and Admission Criteria

HEC recognized degree in relevant discipline(s) with minimum 45% marks on aggregate.

All applications are evaluated on the basis of merit determined by the applicant's previous academic record and performance in the admission interview as per the following weightage:

  • O-Levels/Matriculation Marks 20%
  • A-Levels/Intermediate Marks 20%
  • Graduation Marks 20%
  • Admission Interview 40%
Note: Five bonus points are awarded to all master degree holders.
