A new School of Professional Advancement (SPA) has been set up on the approval of Board of Governors (BOG) and recommendation of the Academic Council in its fifth meeting held on August 19, 2006 vide Resolution No10. Dr Abdul Hameed has been appointed as Director of SPA. Dr Abdul Hameed earned his PhD from Ohio State University USA and has 27 years of teaching and research experience at the University of the Punjab.

SPA will offer various diploma/ certificate courses to provide a technological base for upward mobility and professional growth of individuals who are engaged in various professional fields. It will create new learning opportunities for those who do not necessarily fit in the admission criteria of regular programs or who cannot afford prolonged time and fiscal commitment.
