Introduction
The Office of Communications and Media (OCM) is responsible for promoting the image of the University through concerted branding and marketing efforts. It is our job to deliver effective messages to the target audience through creative, editorial, marketing and web services. We design and maintain the UMT website. We also handle media relations. OCM manages external and internal communications. We produce university publications and promotional material such as the prospectus, brochures, newsletter etc. We are here to ensure strategic and creative communication between UMT and its target audience in order to increase student enrollment, streamline communication between the various stakeholders and establish the University’s reputation as a center of excellence.
Briefly speaking, OCM provides a breadth of expert services ranging from writing/editing, designing and web development to printing, photography and video coverage.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of Communications and Media (OCM) is to project a positive image of the University by effectively utilizing the available resources (material and intellectual), to draw an increased number of new students enrollments, and qualified and experienced faculty through a combination of strategic, targeted, advertising and PR effort that is cost effective while maintaining the desired image within the community.
Vision Statement
OCM will strive to provide support through effective results-oriented advertising and promotion, PR, printing and publishing, and designing services to all departments within the University. OCM will accomplish this through relevant planning and execution, and results analysis and recommendation while providing the concerned departments A+ service. |
